Besan cheela

Besan chilla are simple spiced gram our pancakes from North Indian cuisine. These can be eaten with a chutney or enjoyed just with a cup of tea or coee either for breakfast or evening snack. Besan ka cheela are protein packed, taste delicious & are super quick to make. These are best served hot with a green chutney.



Besan (Gram our) contains a good amount of carbohydrates and protein. Also this is gluten free our. Cheela or puda made from this our makes quick morning breakfast


Ingredients:1.Chickpea flour (besan) - 200 gm

2.Onion big – 75 gm Tomato - 100 gm

3.Chillies green - 5 gm

4.Coriander leaves Cooking oil - 30 gm

5.Salt to taste Water - 1.5 cup

Procedure:

1. Put the besan/ chickpea flour in a bowl.

2. Add tomatoes, onions, green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well.

3. Add water and make a batter.

4. Heat a pan. Once hot, add a teaspoon of oil.

5. When the oil is hot, pour in one spoonful of batter and spread it out like how you would an omelette.

6. Fry until it's golden in colour.

7. Slowly flip it and fry the other side.

Relish crispy, hot Besan Cheela with Mint Chutney or Ketchup.
