ALSI KI CHATNI (LINSEED SAUCE)

This is one of the traditional sauces made in Uttarakhand. Made of Linseed this sauce is one of the best sauces in Uttarakhand. It is usually served with rice in lunch but can also be eaten with chapatis in the breakfast or dinner.



Ingreddients:

- Linseed

- Spices viz, salt, green chily, lemon pulp, coriander leaves

- Sugar


Recipe:

1) Heat a cauldron and grill a couple of fists of linseed.

2) Now in grinder pour the grilled linseed and mix salt, green chilly, lemon pulp, coriander leaves, and sugar along with it.

3) When the paste or slurry is ready your linseed sauce is ready to served.

Tastes best when served with rice in the lunch.
