Amba Khata is a traditionally Seasonal Mango Sweet & Sour Chutney recipe is used to get relief in summer time. This is served with any kind of meal as a side dish. Enjoy its Sweet, Sour & Spice taste.

, this dish comes out of a Odia Kitchen. It’s a delicious tangy spicy chutney, which goes well with any type of main course meal (rice, khichdi, roti, paratha etc).


You can prepared this chutney also in festivals and fasting as there is no use of onion and garlic.Hope you will love it !!



INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Raw mango cut into long pieces

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Sugar

  • 1 teaspoon Salt

  • 1 teaspoon Oil

  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds

  • 1/2 cup Water

  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon Jeera lanka gunda

  • 10 Mint leaves

PROCEDURE

  1. Marinate cut mango with sugar and salt. Keep it for 15 minutes till it becomes soft.

  2. Heat oil in a pan. Crackle cumin seeds. Add water and spices. Bring to boil.

  3. Add marinated mangoes. Cover and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes till soft and jelly.

  4. Garnish with chopped mint leaves. Serve hot or cold
