MAADA

Updated: Oct 1, 2018

A dish made from rice flour known as maada, brother of chawal ki roti (rice's chapati). It's such a dish that only one maada can conquer your appetite. It can be eaten with many things like veggies, pickle, milk etc. But the best thing is, it can be eaten solely without anything else as well.

Ingredients:

- Rice flour

- Butter

- Ghee

- Water

Recipe:

1) Initially, in the rice flour put butter and pour a little water to it gradually until it becomes slurry or a thick paste. Make sure the slurry is not diluted enough, it must be thick.

2) In a heated frying pan or griddle sprinkle a little ghee and subsequently diffuse the rice flour paste or slurry in the entire griddle.

3) Turn it to the other side as soon as the previous side is baked and apply ghee to it and then again diffuse the slurry right above the maada that is in the pan and repeat the same 3-4 times. It will make your maada thick in size.

One more thing needs to be kept in mind here is apply ghee as much as possible or as you fell like. It will enhance the taste of that stuff (maada) and also let it bake properly.
