THEPLA

Thepla is one of the most popular traditional Gujarati recipes. This authentic Thepla recipe is one of the simplest and most delicious Gujarati delicacies. It makes for a perfect main dish that can be served as a breakfast delicacy, tea-time snack or as a lunch/dinner delight. THEPLA

Ingredients:

- Bottle Gourd

- Wheat flour

- Wheat flour

- Oil

- Coriander leaves

- Green chillies

- Ginger paste

- Cumin seeds

- Coriander powder, Red chilly powder, Turmeric powder, Garam masala, Salt.




Recipe:

1) Crunchy and crispy, Thepla is a perfect tea-time delight and can be prepared in just a few minutes if all the ingredients are in place! To prepare this dish, mix all purpose flour, besan, dried fenugreek, ginger and fresh fenugreek in a bowl. Stir well and add curd and water to knead it into a soft dough.

2) Then prepare small balls from the dough and roll them into thin circles.Then take a tawa and heat it on medium flame. Grease it with ghee or oil and cook the Thepla recipe on tawa. Cook from both sides till it turns golden, serve it hot with some mint chutney and your favourite cup of tea or coffee. You can also serve it with sweet delights like Jalebi or kheer to give a twist of flavours to your taste buds.
